A Travel Inspired Big Girl Room
I just finished installing this big girl room, and I adore this sweet, happy space! It's a really fun example of a big girl room that can feel feminine, with hardly a stitch of pink!

The walls were already painted this perfect shade of gray (similar to Benjamin Moore's Rock Candy), which was perfect to work with. Little Q has done a lot of traveling with her family, so we wanted to room to have a nod to her adventures. These vintage pull down maps were the perfect touch, and they are pieces that can both grow with your child, or be used elsewhere in your home if you decide to change things up. They are also really lightweight, and I know having heavier items over the bed or crib can be a concern, so these are a great solution for a statement piece of art.

This table and chair set provides a great spot for reading, drawing, or playing, and I love the punch of color the blue adds to the room! (Also, those rainbow sheets are SO CUTE!)
Q's mom wanted extra storage for toys that crept upstairs for the playroom, and I love how this modern bookcase provides plenty of extra space.

I've said this before, but I'll mention it again; don't be afraid to layer a rug over carpet! It can add so much pattern and texture to a space, and really grounds the bed in this space.

These little petite lamps are so sweet, and perfectly scaled for a child's room!
And how amazing is that pendant light? It's perfectly sophisticated, with the right amount of whimsy. The tassel is such a fun touch.
Hope y'all loved it! Please let me know if you have any questions about this space!
