big sister superheroes

It's so fun to watch my girls figure out the sibling thing.  Sometimes it's completely frustrating, sometimes it's heart-wrenching, and then there are those moments that will just be seared into your heart forever because they are so precious.

It has been really fascinating to me to watch the big sister/little sister relationship from a different perspective.  I'm a big sister, and I'll never forget my first trip back home after I started college.  I spent my time catching up with high school friends and the guy I was dating, and by the end of the weekend, my mom told me out of extreme frustration that I had let my sister down big time because I hadn't spent any time with her.

I was shocked.  I love my sister, and I love hanging out with her, but she was/is awesome and fun herself, and I assumed she was having fun with her own exciting high school plans and wouldn't really care to hang out with me.  I just didn't think I was that interesting.

I'm hoping and praying the foundations are being laid in these early years for relationships that will last a lifetime, and that Vivi will still be swooping in to save the day for Brigie and Ellie when they need her - even when they are older than myself.  And that they will be a trio that can't be broken up, no matter what time might throw at them.

I'm loving the cutie pie Mini Boden goodies the girls are wearing, too; all superhero inspired, which is so perfect!
